  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Those faces above are those of women who traffic unsuspecting ladies in the lure of good prospects only to end up as prostitutes in Dubai.  The culprits: Blessing Gabriel, 25; Precious Ejiro-Owoh, 29; Rose Gabriel, 25; Priscilla Bassey, 33; and 38-year-old Terry Smooth who are all members of a human trafficking ring were in a  caught this September after much interrogation.

The original producers of Coca-cola have come under fire recently for the ingredients they add into their drink, moreso, the sugar contents which has been found to be bad for the body.  But making coca-cola in a filthy and unscrupulous way could prove more harmful to the consumer and more profitable to the manufacturer.  The photos here are of fraudsters who try to mimic the real Coca-cola. Can these people be shut down before they increase the death toll of unsuspecting people who just want a drink.

The Police Headquarters in Abuja recently paraded one Faith Nuhu and five others who specialised in child kidnapping and sale of children. Chigozie Goodwill, Mrs. Evelyn Ojiaku, John Ojiaku, Elizabeth Onyemaobi, and Dr. Amadi Godwin Uzoma were paraded by police before newsmen at the Force headquarters Abuja.  They were all arrested after Faith Nuhu, kidnapped three of her sister’s children but ended up selling two of them at N600,000 to one Evelyn Ojiaku, who operates an illegal maternity home at Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.
