  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Witchcraft In Football?!?!
In my part of the world, footballers deal with racism, but how do you handle witchcraft on the football field, which prevents players from scoring goals or experiencing unexplained injuries? There is a clip that is doing the rounds, which shows, Malian Moussa Camara removing what seems like a charm voodoo from the opponent's (Rwanda's Makura Victory) goal post. Watch what happened after the break.

Rwandan federation had to place a ban on witchcraft on football after the expose. Moussa of Rayon FC went on to score a goal later. There is NO victory in charms!

The armed force are known for not joking around when it comes to spotting impostors wearing their outfits, whereas in some quarters, this could also be worn as a fashion statement! A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
