I read a book written by Angelique Kidjo today and she made reference of Mory Kante in one their music recordings. This brought back good memories, when I first heard the song "Yeke Yeke", that was in the 80's. The song took Lagos by storm, its vibrancy was great for the weather! A woman caught red handed stealing flowers from a graveside, was angrily confronted by a mourner. The mourner claimed that this is the third time, flowers had been  stolen from his brother's graveside. The  Hereford police arrested the woman and is now on bail pending further investigation.
