  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Don't count  your chickens, until they're hatched is a wise saying the elders stand by. The US elections was fierce and the presidential nominees were fighting dirty and ugly during the campaign, smearing one another with their past antics and pledging promises to the masses who were in despair...


The media was not left out with stories been retrieved from the archives reigniting the past misdemeanour of both candidates - Hillary Clinton and the billionaire Donald Trump to the delight of citizens, whilst riots and civic unrest took over the streets. 

Will those who swore to relocate from US or destroy their green card if Trump wins, fulfil their vows now? Promises can be made to the masses, but it is the action that will determine the essence of duty for the next president. Melania Trump will be the next first lady, a boost or a reason for the press to further dig into their archives and let the bad press commence!

 As the world leaders offer their congratulatory messages of support to the president-elect, Mr Trump, Let's hope peace will reign and unite its citizens and the world at large.
