In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Say No To Nigeria's Barbaric Jungle Justice

Nigeria's Barbaric Jungle Justice
There is a video that has gone viral now, it shows a young man who was lynched in Lagos, Nigeria. His offence was stealing a mobile phone. Stealing is not a crime that should be condoned, but citizens lynching culprits alive has become an acceptable norm in Nigeria.

Lynched for stealing phone
The video was too gruesome, I decided not to post it up. The police has waded into the situation and vowed to arrest the culprits involved in the demise of this young man. But this has become a habit in Nigeria, with the government dealing with corruption and embezzlement in higher places, the citizens are taking laws into their own hands without government interference or approval. What would the president, Buhari say on this matter, or is he silently condoning this type of behaviour?
"It's ironic that d same mob that metes out jungle justice to small-item thieves, prostrates for d million-dollar thieves when they drive by." - Festus Keyamo
if Nigeria government can promote family planning and birth control awareness drives to curb its population growth, awareness should be introduced to the masses nationwide, encouraging the citizens not to take laws into their own hands, they should refer such cases to Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) outlets to deal with such matters.

To the readers, do you experience jungle justice in your country? Kindly share your thoughts with everyone. Thank you.
