  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

British Council Presents Lagos Theatre Festival 2016

Lagos Festival Theatre 2016
The British Council Lagos Theatre Festival is back in its 3rd edition bringing the largest outdoor theatre festival in Nigeria. This year, the festival will feature over 100 performances from producers such as Bani Productions, Comic Republic, Creative Arts Collection UNILAG, Make it happen Productions, Thespian Family Theatre, Troopers Arts, Women in Arts and many more including 4 International productions from the UK.
Lagos Festival Theatre 2016 starts February 18th
Taking place across 20 venues to include British Council, National Arts Theatre, Freedom Park, Terrakulture, Bogobiri, Muson Centre, UNILAG among others, there will also special workshops for Actors, Creative Writing, Directors and Producers.

Lagos Theatre Festival 2016 will be an extravaganza of Music,Dance,Spoken Word, Musical and Performance theatre. Watch preview here.
