  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

2016 Grammys And The Silent Boycotts: Was This A Set Up?

The annual 58th Grammys has come and gone, but people are still talking about it. It is not the frocks they are talking about or who paired up with whom. What is on everyone's lips is why were celebrities cancelling to attend the event at the very last minute???

From Rihanna cancelling due to a throat infection at the last minute, and Lauryn Hill's surprise performance with the Weeknd turning into a no show due to scheduling problems. Drake and Nicki Minaj were noticeably absent from the event. Was this all a conspired way to boycott the event against the backdrop of the Oscars nomination?
"The Grammy's announced a performance by Ms. Lauryn Hill prematurely and without approval. Ms. Hill had concerts all weekend, leaving no time to prepare, and was uncertain she would even be able to make it to LA in time to rehearse for the event. Any performance that could have happened was never confirmed, and should not have been advertised as such. Ms. Hill was invited to do a collaboration with an artist she appreciates. The performance was intended to be a surprise and unfortunately due to its last minute nature, was unable to come to fruition."


 Lauryn Hill & her background singers rehearsed twice with The Wkend earlier today & it was a good performance. Not sure what happened.
