  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

The Topshop & Beyoncé Collaboration

Beyoncé  is about to launch her own active wear label that will include ‘clothing, footwear and accessories across dance, fitness and sports categories.’ She is already involved in the fashion industry via the House of Deréon brand she started with her mother. Last summer she collaborated with the H&M fashion chain. 

She has also worked with the Tommy Hilfiger label on a range of fragrances. She has other collaborations under her belts. “I have always loved Topshop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking. Working with their development team to create and produce a technical and fashion led collection is exciting and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”

Can't wait to see the collections next month.

A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
