With the
immense growth of technologies within our communities, coding is now on the
curriculum for kids, soon kids will know how our devices actually work, Kids
adapt fast at learning things from their computer games to navigating their
ways round the internet. This will encourage adults to learn and also bridge
the generation gap.
Kano: Education company Pearson is using Kano for the schools

SAM: launched on Kickstarter, this kit contains a set of

Codecademy: offers online courses in programming languages and app
building as well as teaching resources. It has helped 4,000 teachers prepare

KhanAcademy: Salman Khan started this as a YouTube channel to help
his cousins with their maths. Now it teaches pretty much every subject, for

Code School:
free and subscription-based video-classes. Complete the challenges to progress

Treehouse:

Tuts+: some 400
video-based lessons of one to five hours. Pick out specific classes (some free,
