Good Read: The Girl With The Louding Voice - Abi Dare

In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Are Rich Men Scared Of Getting Married?

Are Rich Men Scared Of Getting Married?
With the rate of divorces taking place globally, with  London being the divorce capital of the world. I pose this question, "Are rich men scared of getting married"?. This includes men who have children from different women without the intention of marrying them.

Diddy appeared on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live where a viewer asked him why he hasn't gotten married. Although appearing awkward at first, Diddy came up with an explanation as to why he hasn't tied the knot to girlfriend Cassie. Diddy responded saying:
I don’t know [if I’ll ever get married]. It’s the whole thing of–I think you have to be ready for it. It’s somebody else’s heart involved and that’s a just a lot of responsibility. I don’t wanna be going to courts and have somebody interfere with my relationships. So I’d rather just do the Goldie Hawn (Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together for over 30 years but have never married). But I will give a contract! I will commit to a contract–a love contract.
I’m talking where there’s some money involved, too. If there’s any problems–you have to have an agreement. You can’t just love somebody, take ’em, and y’all just part–I don’t even feel comfortable answering. […] Honestly, I just don’t think I’m ready right now, but I’m a great boyfriend!
What happens to all those engagement rumours now? Now his women know Diddy is not yet ready for marriage. As for signing into a love contract, in the UK, it is based on office relationships and not romantic ones. Would you sign a love contract in place of marriage? Be honest... Share your views.

  1. I'm not rich. My net worth is around 500K. If I were rich, I'd have no problem getting married. I'd secure most of my money into trusts that were immune to divorce and demand a prenup however. Without the trusts and prenup, I wouldn't get married even if I were rich.

I personally will never get married because I have so little, losing any of it would be disastrous to my future. The men that get destroyed are the ones that didn't have a lot to begin with and then went through a divorce. If you take half from someone that doesn't have much to begin with, it hurts a lot worse than taking half from someone with millions to lose.
