  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Kara Tointon Fumes Over BBC Bogus Relationship Setup With Artem Chigvintsev

The inner workings of TV and the audience it pulls along with it - Kara Tointon the 2010 champion of Strictly Come Dancing is now accusing BBC of stage managing her relationship with her ex-boyfriend and dance partner at the time, Artem Chigvintsev.

“I was single and they put me with the single guy! I was so angry. “I was so determined we wouldn’t get it together and then of course you’re spending so much time with this person and he was so wonderful . . . So yes, it was inevitable really.”   
She felt her privacy evaded and did not like that aspect of public intrusion. She further told the telegraph, “I hate people knowing everything.” I thought people enjoyed being paired up on Strictly, some of those relationships are known to have resulted into full blown romance and wrecked marriages.

 Kara is now in the production of Maria on The Sound Of Music which will go live on 20th December 2015.

One would have thought that it was the news doing the rounds at the time that Artem had only dated women in the US for his stay that caused the fear.
