  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Nicki Minaj has selected the cast for her upcoming ABC Family series titled,"Nicki". 
"I am honored and excited to announce that I've literally hand picked the main characters of my scripted series". 
Whoopi Goldberg is billed to guest star alongside Selita Ebanks, who will play Nicki's mother, Grace; sitcom vet Wesley Jonathan (City Guys), who will play her father, Vincent; and McCarrie McCausland (Army Wives) as her older brother, Jaylen. Ariana Neal is said to play the younger Nicki Minaj. of which she wrote...
"I literally cried watching her taped audition," Nicki wrote. "I demanded to meet her! Sat in a room with her teaching her how to rap by doing a beat on the table & forcing her to stay on beat! Lol. Then pulled out all the attitude she had in her lil body. Haha! She's tough! And so sweet & cute. #ArianaNeal #LilNicki Welcome to the family lil lady bug!"
The ABC family sitcom is based on Nicki's upbringing in Queens, New York after her family migrated from Trinidad in the 90s. The LaGuardia graduate will also be a guest star.
