  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Pa Taiwo Adelana Weeps For His Sister Mama HID
Late Mama HID Awolowo's sibling Pa Taiwo Adelana might have had a premonition about his late sister, that when he arrived in Ikenne yesterday, he wept uncontrollably on hearing that his elder sister had passed on.

The 94-yr old was said to have been unaware of his sister's death until he arrived Ikenne While at Efunyela Hall,he was pictured weeping uncontrollably while cleaning his face with a white handkerchief. Sources said that people could barely hear him because his speech was incoherent except for his exclamation of “ha! ha! ha!", he said:
'He said he had been dreaming about his elder sister's death since the past three days. This, he said, forced him to insist that he should be brought to Ikenne to see his sister from Lagos where he lives'.
