  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Michael Fassbinder as Steve Jobs - Worthy Of An Oscar
It has been on everyone's lips for a while now, the Steve Jobs Movie which includes an impressive cast of: Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels and Katherine Waterston. A flim that depicts the challenges, doubts and success Steve Jobs faced in actualising his dreams in Apple. 

From his family to co-workers expressing their disbelief and doubts about Job's plans to bring computer technology to every home – as Steve Wozniak (played by Seth Rogen), tells him: ‘We’ll know soon enough if you’re Leonardo da Vinci – or just think you are.’ Watch trailer after jump.


It opens in UK cinemas on November 13 and will premiere at the London Film Festival next month. Will this get Michael Fassbender an Oscar? His performance as Steve Jobs has been termed brilliant, but only time will tell.
