  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

HORROR!!! Video Shows Nigeria's Boko Haram Massacring Civilians

This new video is been circulating the internet lately showing Boko Haram extremist gunning down civilians in their dormitory, those who refuse to be coerced into converting their faith to Islam.
'We have made sure the floor of this hall is turned red with blood, and this is how it is going to be in all future attacks and arrests of infidels,' the group leader says in a message.
'From now, killing, slaughtering, destruction and bombing will be our religious duty anywhere we invade.'

In the video, the leader notes that the prophet Mohammed advised prisoners should be held, not killed, but says "we felt this is not the right time for us to keep prisoners; that is why we will continue to see that the grounds are crimsoned with the flowing blood of prisoners."

He says some of those killed may call themselves Muslims, but are considered infidels by Boko Haram, a Sunni Jihadi group that imposes strict Shariah law.
