In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Was Egypt Ever A Really Bad Place To Visit???

Was Egypt a bad place to visit in the first place?
Growing up in church, I was told that Egypt was a bad place to visit, a no go area because of the exodus movement Moses had with the Israelities then and the plagues, they made it seem like Egypt was a cursed place on the face of the earth. I could remember if anyone from church said they had travelled to Egypt; see eruption of laughter from the congregration, making mockery of who ever was standing in front of the church that moment giving such a testimony like he / she had committed a huge crime!

But the real question is "what is wrong with Egypt as a place to visit?, " I had been to Harrods (the Mecca of shopping in London) and noticed that the interior designs on the walls in that magnificent building was graced by artisrty images of  Egypitians; there were displays of Egyptians artefacts on some of the floors. Please don't tell me it is because Mohamed Al-Fayed the owner back in the day is an egyptian. It has been sold over - so that excuse is out of the window.

Friends had told me about the beauty and history that lights up Egypt, they even call it the center of civilization.

If Egypt is that bad then how come in the Holy Bible:
  1. God told Joseph and Mary take baby Jesus to Egypt, because of King Herod's threats. Matthew 2:14.
  2. God called Egypt my people In Isiaih 19:25 says - Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

I would like your candid opinions on why Egypt is sold down to the masses on a huge scale. Is Egypt really that BAD???  Let's talk
