  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Oh No Not Again, Jamie Oliver Prepares 'Nigerian Suya'

Jamie Oliver shares his nigerian suyu with Tinie Tempah and Friend
British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is at it again. At first it was his version of Jollof Rice that almost broke the internet with hostile twitter remarks. See Here. Now he has shifted his culinary expertise to Suya ( seasoned grilled meat on skewers). It was aired sometime last week with Tinie Tempah as a guest sampling his version of suya which was was titled 'spiced peanut marinated beef.

Tinie Tempah will be the only one to convince ardent suya lovers that the dish was palatable and will get the pass mark.

I hope Jamie is not trying to break into the Africa market via his culinary skills...... I would not be surprised to see Jamie Oliver sell his own brand of seasoning for jollof rice or suya. After all he has convinced the masses that he can prepare African dishes with his Jollof rice and suya recipe. Nigerian caterers be on the lookout.


I hope he does not set twitter alight this time around!!!!!!!!!!!

The armed force are known for not joking around when it comes to spotting impostors wearing their outfits, whereas in some quarters, this could also be worn as a fashion statement! A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
