  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

"Certificate Of Purity" Presented To Groom By Bride's Father

When I read this on MTO, I was in awe of the young couple. Brelyn Freeman and Tim Bowman, who are not just devout christian, but who stood by their words and actions by not only remaining celibate but having a certificate of proof that Brelyn is still a virgin and her hymen was intact till the wedding day.

 In our grandmothers' era, I remember them talking about presenting the blood stained white sheet to their in-laws as proof that their son married a virgin after consummating the marriage.

 Pastor Michael Freeman who is the founder and pastor of Spirit of Faith Christian Center (SOFCC) with locations in Prince George's County and Howard County in Maryland must be a proud parent and Tim Bowman must have felt honoured to have Brelyn as a wife and the matriarch of the future generation they will create together.
