  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

The Winner Of MGBN 2015 Pageant Goes To ....

Silverbird production's annual Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2015 pageant took place yesterday at the show was won by  Miss Unoaku Anyadike, a final year Psychology student of the University of Ibadan who beat 36 other contestants to clinch the crown. She will go on to represent Nigeria at the Miss World Pageant.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari was in Cross Rivers State this morning to commission the ground breaking of a 260km speed highway but ran into the hands of beautiful girls who were contesting for this year Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, MBGN.

The contestants had been in Calabar in the last two weeks for camping and of course to see the tourism potential of the place. Stunned by the beautiful scenes at the airport, the president could only wave his hands to the ladies. 

I noticed that this year's contestants are really tall, there must be something in the water! Nigerian ladies are not just stunning but could take on international models and give them a run for their looks and money. Congratulations Unoaka Anyadike

The armed force are known for not joking around when it comes to spotting impostors wearing their outfits, whereas in some quarters, this could also be worn as a fashion statement! A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
