  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Police Vs Civilians: The Cycle Of Killings In America
The names of African-Americans being killed is becoming unbecoming as the day goes by. It has become a case of Blacks vs US Police without much been done to date to curb this melee all in the name of law enforcement. Videos don't lie and with all the cases that have surfaced on the videos, it is saddening to see that some of those killings on black people is so uncalled for and can be deemed as brutal injustice in 2016.

Every one has raised their displeasure over these killings, but we all know this has become a vicious cycle in a systematic order: A black man is killed - protests ensue - social media outrage- celebrities involvement by singing about it - promises from the government - lots of public talks without enforcing effective actions - peace for a second, till the next man is shot dead! and the cycle repeats itself. 

When will politicians actually put a ban on gun violence and police reforms??? Does the president's voice count in all of this, or it is been subtly ignored?

To all the families of those affected in these unnecessary killings, condolences.

The armed force are known for not joking around when it comes to spotting impostors wearing their outfits, whereas in some quarters, this could also be worn as a fashion statement! A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
