Serena Williams Loses To Karolina Pliskova In The US Open Semi Finals

 

Serena has failed to qualify for the next round of the 2016 US open, she lost to Karolina Pliskova, by 6-2, 7-6. Karolina would now face Angelique Kerber in the finals. 

“I have been having some serious left knee problems, Serena complained. When asked what effect this had on her game, she replied “Mental, because when you're hampered you're thinking of other things. Like I was making errors that I never make, and definitely I didn't make in this tournament in particular. So many simple, simple shots that I easily could have made. I just blame that on thinking about my leg and just not thinking about the shot.”

The predictors were right on this, but Serena still has the winning streak in her. 

Karolina had watched Serena and her big sister, Venus play when she was a child only for her to beat both sisters in the same slam (US open 2016). The fourth player after Justine Henin, Kim Clijsters and Martina Hingis. She had this to say about Venus and Serena:

"To beat Serena, she's world No 1, so it's always tough to beat someone like this. She's never giving up. Even if she's losing, not playing her best, it's always tough to beat girls like this. But I would say it was a little bit tougher to play Venus because obviously I was a match point down and she was serving much better than Serena was tonight."

"Definitely, they did a lot for tennis. And both of them, they are such a great champions. You can still see it, even now. Even if they lose they are still behaving like champions."

Could I predict that Karolina will play her twin sister, Kristyna probably next year?
