  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

How Much Would You Pay For This Art Piece?

Cheap as chips work of art, but art lovers think differently
Readers, how much will for pay for this marvellous work of art?


 The “LifeHunters” from Dutch displayed a painting from IKEA at the Museum Arnhem in the Netherlands and asked art lovers for their opinion of the work by “Ike Andrews”—a surreal piece that shows a spider mounting a whale.

 Visitors described the artist as a man who can “put all of his emotions” in a painting. Other reactions were:
  • “It’s a depiction of the chaos in his mind”
  • “You can clearly see that it concerns a form of symbolism”
  • “It includes nostalgic attributes”
  • One even said he would pay 2.5 million euros (about $2.6 million)


How do you value a good piece of art, imagine one paid 2.5 million euros for that? when the work is actually cheap as chips, £7.00. Have we been taken for mugs all these years in the name of expensive art. I need to hear it from art experts on the real value of art paintings.
