  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

What Age Were You The Most Happiest?


According to a survey of 2000 people living in UK over 40, the age at which people were at their happiest was 34. This is the age where they tend to have gotten married, have kids, settled in the careers, paid off their mortgages and are now enjoying the finer things of life. Is that really true?

Life is full of surprises, OAPs Harriet Scott and Tim Arthur of BBC 94.9 posed the same question live on air, while people phoned in with their different opinions. The age range for their happiness varied from 45 to 70, contentment, confidence and starting a new career were some attributes that contributed to their happiness.

Harriet Scott also posed another question "Are you frightened of getting older"?, to which the caller responded, No, being old has its advantages.
