  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

"Modelling Is So Easy" - Declares Iman

Models often do complain of the rigorous activities that takes place behind closed doors in the modelling world. Maintaining a skinny frame, the long flights and loneliness that comes with it, the rejections and the shortage of bookings. Veteran model and entrepreneur, Iman, 60, disclosed that "modelling is not hard but a walk in the park".
"People say that modelling is hard. It isn’t when you compare it to other jobs. Your self-esteem is the hard part. I can wake up and be like, ‘I look good, I got this’. And then I get to the job and there is Cindy Crawford! That will bring you down in a second.” - Iman Abdulmajid.

With the introduction of the plus size models and the banning of anorexic models, there has been a shift in the way women's bodies are being projected in the modelling world.... But the case for racial discrimination is still rife. What would the models who are trying to survive in the industry say to her comment?
