  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

American singer, Alicia Keys is on a one woman mission with her no make up trend, she stepped out at the BET Awards 2016 looking smooth faced and the Internet has gone agog with jubilation.  Some have even written an epistle on how to survive a no make up face in public! Isn't that a bit too steep, after all we were blessed with a free make up face from birth, what has changed? Age, public validation and adulation.... If this becomes a movement, I will be utterly disappointed, it would ruin business for M.A.C cosmetics and all other facebeat products. Women without makeup tend to look younger and skin smooth.

The armed force are known for not joking around when it comes to spotting impostors wearing their outfits, whereas in some quarters, this could also be worn as a fashion statement! A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
