  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

John Lewis the stores known for 'never knowingly undersold' has come under fire from angry parents because the stores are trying to sexualise toddlers as young as 2 years old with their underwear range.

Mothers on parenting forums have declared the underwear ‘dangerous’ and Siobhan Freegard, founder of the UK’s largest parenting website 

Netmums, said: ‘There’s no need for a bra measuring 20 inches. It’s unnecessary and unsavoury to ask tiny girls to dress in replicas of women’s underwear.

Claude Knights, chief executive of the charity Kidscape added: ‘Bras and two-year-olds in the same sentence just doesn’t compute. If this is so, it is unacceptable and very disturbing.’

A spokesman for John Lewis said the labelling had been a mistake, though, and the bras were actually meant for pre-teens.‘Bras are designed to stretch, so our 28a bra will fit a 28-inch chest even if it measures at a smaller size when on the hanger.

‘We sell bras by size and not by age and the products are clearly marked in this way and labelled by size in our shops. An error occurred when the product was put on our website, meaning that it was categorized by age and not size. This was corrected straight away.’

The collection has since been removed from their website
