  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Church Of England Furious That Cinemas Ban Our Lord's Prayer In Their Adverts 
Should we call this the battle of the titans: Church  vs Cinemas -  Church of England is "disappointed and bewildered" by the refusal of leading UK cinemas to show an advert featuring the Lord's Prayer. The cinema chains affected are Odeon, Cineworld and Vue, their reasons were they didn’t show any religious or political ads.


Is this due to the terrorism unrest that has been rocking the world for quite some time? The cinema does not want to be drawn into this debacle. Attend the picture house with friends and family, book a seat, munch on some popcorn, enjoy your film and we make some profit - that is the joys of attending the cinema.

Is it compulsory that the cinemas must put up with having the Lord's Prayer as part of a display advert? Share your thoughts.
