  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Guys, Is This True Of A Nigerian Couple Fighting Over...
What does the average Nigerian couple fight mostly over? from the clip below you would be amazed on why this husband and wife are arguing, it is not money, not sex and not another woman... Can you guess?

Can a wife be the only one who prepares her husband's meals?, especially with all the local eateries out there, and party take-away.

I once saw an old couple, would say, age from late sixties, the wife was Indian and the husband was Ghanaian, imagine the husband complaining in the shopping center that his wife could not cook him his homeland food, and she snapped at him and retorted that "Am I a Ghanaian, did you not know I was an Indian when you married me?" 

I was shocked because they were not young and if they could talk like that in public, how do they really resolve their differences?

    Food been a main culprit in a home is subtle especially when the couple can afford it. The silent thieves that steal our joy yet go unnoticed.
