  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Bitter Politics: APC Governorship Candidate Audu Abubakar Slumps And Dies

His face looked familiar, he was the governor who recently married a 14 year old bride, now he is has been dealt a hefty blow by Nigeria's bitter politics.


Was is not only few days ago, people were talking about the governorship elections in Kogi State for a re-election. It had to be reviewed because Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared the elections results inconclusive and this in turn has led to the down turn of events for APC's governorship candidate, Abubakar Audu. He slumped on hearing INEC's inconclusive announcement. He died in hospital afterwards - Do we need to determine what caused his death medically? 

What baffles me is that, did Kogi State not conduct a governorship elections in May with all other states in Nigeria, what happened to that results? Why not let sleeping dogs lie? What would have been the essence of Alhaji Audu's death?  - A loss to his family.

It is just a shame that Nigeria would conduct elections and revoke the results months later. Impeaching governors has become a past time hobby - Conduct a free and fair election once and for all, I hope Abubakar Audu death would serve as a lesson, and President Buhari should kindly have a say in removing governors from office at 100 days or less.
