  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo And Wife Conferred With Chieftancy Titles

I thought bagging a chieftancy title in one's homeland was about elders being honoured for their contribution to their homeland. Was surprised that former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo and his wife, Adaeze were honoured as the new Chief & Lolo Meene Aborlo ogoni 1 and Wa Meene Aborlo ogini 1 in Rivers State. Thought such titles were reserved for older people with loads of experience and money! Joseph Yobo has contributed to sports in Nigeria, and that I know is a merit.  Would the elders be really pleased for them?

The armed force are known for not joking around when it comes to spotting impostors wearing their outfits, whereas in some quarters, this could also be worn as a fashion statement! A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
