Gorilla Gate: Whose Life Matters The Most?

There is ongoing furore of animal rights campaigners who are venting their anger over Harambe, the 400lbs male silver-back gorilla, who was shot and killed by zoo officials in Cincinnati, Ohio over the weekend, because they were trying to protect the life of a four year old child who fell in whilst he was with his mother. Clips of the gorilla holding the child's hands can be seen in the video footage after the break.

Were the officials in the zoo right to have taken the gorilla's life in such circumstance? We know children have fallen into such enclosure before, and they all came out alive, but not all gorillas are the same! Read here

This scenario is every mother's worst nightmare - What would you have wished for the Gorilla and the child in such a situation?

Witnesses told local news broadcasters that the child had expressed a desire to join the gorillas, before crawling through a barrier and falling almost 4 metres down inside the enclosure. 

Now, it is been claimed that the parent of the child is a criminal with over a decade lengthy history which includes: burglary, firearms offences, drug trafficking, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and kidnap." What has that got to do with the case at present!?!?

Furthermore, the parents could face criminal charges over the incident, as the petition signings increases in bid to get justice for the ugly incident.
