  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

There is a video circulating on the Internet of a Ghanaian pastor, Bishop Daniel Obinim  of Obinim Ministries, he flogged members of his congregation for engaging in premarital sex and abortion in the full glare of the church while everyone watched, If you watch the video after the break, you coul hear music been played by the pianist. What message is he sending out to the church? 

A twitter user, @obimpenaaustine narrated that the episode that happened in the church should have been dealt with at home since the people involved in the scandal were the bishop's adopted children aged 16 and 14 respectively.

The self styled bishop has also been accused of been a hypocrite for fornicating with the wife of a junior pastor in his church. When will all the negative publicity about churches end?
