Good Read: The Girl With The Louding Voice - Abi Dare

In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

For the Sisters: Weave or Shave

Imagine you were given a million worth of cash and told to shave your head for the rest of your life, or wear a weave for the rest of your life..What would be your choice?

The reason I have asked this question is because I have noticed that shaved hair looks only cool on some ladies, it is not for everyone! especially if you are slim, curvy ladies rock the shaved look "the amber rose" style well and if the hair is coloured, it brings out the tone of their own natural skin...

I have shaved my hair in the past but could not wait to grow it out, the hair had to grow by force and lots of castor oil lol. and I noticed people were giving me stares like I was sick or something, I did not give a damn about their opinion. Would I rock a shaved look, I know myself well, I will not let the hair rest, "one head different styles".
