Good Read: The Girl With The Louding Voice - Abi Dare

In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Dr Myles Munroe: Funeral Dates Announced, Family Show Gratitude At Difficult Period

On Wednesday, December 3rd 2014, the Life & Contributions of Dr. Myles and Pastor Ruth Munroe will be celebrated during a National Memorial Service of Thanksgiving & Praise. We anticipate hosting this event at one of our major national facilities that will announced as soon as all official confirmations have been realised.

The official Funeral or Home Going Service for Dr. Myles and Pastor Ruth Munroe will be held on Thursday, December 4th 2014, at Bahamas Faith Ministries International Diplomat Center located on Carmichael Road in Nassau, Bahamas.

The children of Dr Myles and Ruth Munroe: Myles Munroe Jr., Charisa M. Munroe & family took time out to express their gratitude to all those who have shown their support and condolences at such a difficult time:
"The past few days have been the most difficult times for my sister and I, our family and all of those affected by this loss. We are all saddened by this tragic event but we are comforted and encouraged by the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone around the country and from those around the world at large. We want to thank everyone that has called, emailed, messaged or gave words of encouragement; we are truly grateful."
"We would like to make it known that although we are all grieving our losses and are deeply saddened by this tragic event, we have never been nor will we ever feel hopeless. There is no question in our hearts that the spirits of the nine persons whose lives were taken are now resting with our Heavenly Father. We rejoice for we know they are in a better place watching over all of us and rejoicing amongst the heavenly angels.
We should all take time to celebrate the lives of those lost in the plane crash, In the words of our father, "The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without a purpose." We know there is a greater purpose in all of this and we are now the vessels for this new vision and legacy to be carried on.
