  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Idi Amin's Ex Wife, Sarah Kyolaba Dies At 59

It has been announced that Mrs Amin, a former go-go dancer once nicknamed “Suicide Sarah” after the military band for which she was performing when she caught the Ugandan ex-despot’s eye, died last Thursday in London’s Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead. It is understood she had been receiving treatment for cancer.

Sarah Kyolaba, Idi Amin’s fifth and “favourite” wife, went by the title Lady Sarah Kyobala Idi Amin. She arrived in the UK in 1982 after her husband went into exile in Saudi Arabia. She ran a hair salon and a restaurant in Tottenham, North London.

She described herself on her Facebook page as the “former first lady of Uganda”, and displayed a black and white picture of the wedding.

Shopkeepers in Tottenham remembered her as a very “nice and friendly” member of the community. Swaleh Lwanja said Kyolaba and her family would often come to his restaurant, and she rarely spoke about her former life.

A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
