  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Relationships And Turning The Blind Eye Syndrome
We have heard it all before, the Tiger Woods scandal that really broke the internet and his mother-in-law's heart. Twitter and Instagram is full of stories of infidelity within relationships, playing out the blame game and ferocious name calling.


 The latest trending story is the Toke Makinwa Marriage Triangle: Her husband (Maje Ayida), His ex-girlfriend (Anita Solomon) and Toke stuck in a sticky situation. A tale of when trials test a marriage. She is yet to state her side of the story, but people are so aggravated for her they are bashing her husband for impregnating his ex-girlfriend and not Toke his beloved wife - Life happens! Till either party gives their version of events, this is better resolved by family members and not the public.

My question for the day is "why do people turn a blind eye to a relationship that is not working? apart from parental pressure and biological clock ticking in a woman, is it worth all the pain to make such choices?

Where are our elders when you need them to steer you with wise advise?, a flourishing career and wealth extravagance at times does not solve relationship dilemmas like this. 

I salute the courage in women who have enough guts to call off their wedding because they found out that their husband to be was a mismatch and would not deceive themselves of being married for the sake of marriage. It reminds of Kim Kardashian's 72 days marriage, she was brutally honest and now she is living the life she envisioned with the man she loves.
