  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Lupita Nyong'o in Kenya as WildAid Ambassador
Lupita Nyong’o has been appointed a global ambassador for the wildlife conservation charity WildAid. And she told journalists that she is “proud” of her Kenyan heritage and “part of that heritage is the wildlife”. She added that she would have loved to have returned home sooner but she has been busy building her career, but “it’s never too late to come home."


 She is in Kenya to promote wildlife conservation and spoke at a breakfast briefing at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, Nairobi, on the harms done to the economy by poaching of elephants.
“My first connection with elephants started when I was 6 years old. It's a lifelong passion… Talking about elephants, every 15 mins an elephant is killed. We lose so much revenue as a country,” Lupita said.
