  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Jennifer Hudson And Tyrese Star As Tina And Ike In "Shame"

The volatile love relationship between Ike Turner and his ex-wife Tina have well been documented, this time Denzel Washington is putting out his own version of their romance in a film titled, "Shame". It features artistes Jennifer Hudson and Tyrese playing the roles - Tina and Ike. Watch trailer after the cut.



Tyrese has released the first teaser to his upcoming mini-film, “Shame,” starring Jennifer Hudson, directed by Paul Hunter and Denzel Washington. The trailer for the 23-minute short film, which so far gives us Ike and Tina’s “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” tease, is in celebration of Ty’s new single (also entitled ‘Shame,’) which is already finding it’s place on the Billboard charts. The trailer is also in anticipation of the R&B artist’s last and final album, Black Rose, and shows both Tyrese and Jennifer sharing a band and sharing a home, with Tyrese battling many issues, including drugs, alcohol and abuse.
