  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Fela's Anikulapo - Kuti's Granddaughter Rolari Segun Is Officially A Mrs Jacka

Last weekend, 15th August, 2015, London was the place to  celebrate the official marriage solemnization between Yeni Kuti's daughter, Rolari Segun and her Australian beau,  Benedict Jacka. The traditional wedding took place on the 27th June 2015 at the African Shrine, Lagos. Wishing the couple and their families, a happy married life.

The bride is a graduate of Leeds University, UK and her father, the late broadcaster Femi Segun, passed away in 2013. Benedict Jacka is a British author who is best known for his Alex Versus series.

The armed force are known for not joking around when it comes to spotting impostors wearing their outfits, whereas in some quarters, this could also be worn as a fashion statement! A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
