New: Bola Agbaje's Snapped The Movie On Snapchat

To all those who have Snapchat, there is something interesting for you all. Snapped the Movie will see award winning playwright Bola Agbaje create a new film produced using SnapChat.  It is a short contemporary film about a young boy who filmed himself sleeping with a girl he met on the Internet. The video is leaked online and both he and the girl have to face the consequences of over-sharing on snapchat. 

It explores the themes of revenge porn. The film looks at an increasing problem that young people face and the unwitting risks they take when using social media. It was noted in 2014 that 70% of young people using snapchat have sent naked photos to one another and are unaware of the dangers of doing so. The film highlights this situation and raises some interesting questions for young people. It challenges them to think twice about what they upload online. It is designed to provoke discussion and reflection using a story and format that the audience can relate to directly.
