  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

"Women’s Liberation Is The Reason Why Most Marriages Are Failing” – Bishop David Oyedepo
Winner’s Chapel and Covenant University founder, Bishop David Oyedepo has stated that  women’s liberation is the reason divorce is rife. He spoke at the third service of his church in Ota, Ogun State on Sunday, 23rd August, 2015 noted that the increasing call for and approval of equality between women and men has spilled into their marital lives.

The man of God added that such women now equate themselves with their husbands, against the biblical doctrine which states that women ought to be submissive to their husbands and that men should love their wives.

Lastly, he also stated that cases of divorce were most common in the western world because they have less or no regard for God's law and focus more on  self-inflicting laws that allow them to live their lives voraciously.

Has he got a point?

The armed force are known for not joking around when it comes to spotting impostors wearing their outfits, whereas in some quarters, this could also be worn as a fashion statement! A man in Nigeria was caught and confronted by army officers for wearing a camouflage vest. He was later apprehended; but the impostor's response was not forthcoming but highly hilarious.
