  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

South Africa's Snake Eating Pastor Tied, Beaten And Church Burnt Down By Angry Residents

Tied by the youths for his controversial teachings
Pastor Penuel Mnguni, 24, of the End Times Ministries, South Africa known for his odious practices: snake eating, chewing on grass, stripping nude and every manner of unimaginable acts has felt the fury of angry residents. They held a community meeting and yesterday marched to the tent in the bushes and started attacking his congregation.they took the tent apart, threw all the chairs and Bibles on it, and set it on fire!

He would have been called a snake oil sales man in this part of the world, but the residents of Tshwane  were completely fed up with his antics, “How can a person eat a rat and claim it tastes like chocolate? That’s evil!” bemoaned an angry resident, Pastor  Mnguni was along with his congregation and tied until the police arrived to diffuse the situation. He has gone into hiding to keep a very low profile.
