  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Facebook Reinstates Pictures Of Baby Timothy Thompson

The voice of the people matters when it comes to matters that touches the heart. Baby Timothy Eli Thompson was born on March 4, 2015 without a nose and his picture was deemed too controversial by Facebook, that must have been a cruel thing to do.
His mother, Brandi McGlathery had put the pictures up on Facebook as an health awareness, but they were taken down and seen as a controversy. Backlash from Facebook users who had shared the picture 30,000 times in just six hours made Facebook have a change of heart and reinstated the picture.

Baby Timothy's mother said:
‘If I can see completely distasteful things on Facebook all day long, then I can post a picture of my son.
‘He was everywhere and he broke the internet!’ 


  • Was Facebook right to take down the picture that could serve as an health awareness?, there are lots of offensive images that has been given the green light on Facebook, aren't those pictures seen as too controversial?
  • What really makes a picture controversial on Facebook?
