  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Senator Teslim Folarin's Way Of Doing Politics
As the results were been announced of winners and losers over the weekend for the governorship elections, Senator Teslim Folarin took the result of his defeat badly and did politics his own way by causing damage to his reputation.
The PDP governorship candidate who came fourth in the Oyo State gubernatorial election decided to take matters into his own hands by sending his henchmen to remove the transformer he had donated to the Sabo community some days earlier. 

 The matter was brought to the palace of the Sarkin Hausawa, Alhaji Ahmed Dahiru Zungeru where they expressed their concerns, upon intervention of the Sarkin, the community decided to reject the transformer being returned to its place.

 Politics with bitterness you may say, this move was not the smartest of them!
