In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Health Blogger, Belle Gibson Admits Faking Terminal Cancer
An Australian "wellness" blogger who built a successful business on claims that she survived terminal cancer has admitted she never had the disease. Bella Gibson, 26, told Australia's Women's Weekly magazine in an interview, "None of it is true."  She created a blog titled 'The Whole Pantry', to detail her battle with cancer which spawned into an app and recipe book.

Suspicions about her claims surfaced after she failed to deliver a promised $300,000 donation to charity.
"I am still jumping between what I think I know and what is reality," Ms Gibson said in the interview, her first since the story was called into question.
"I have lived it and I'm not really there yet," she said.
She claimed she was treating her malignant brain cancer with whole foods and alternative therapies. This led  to a huge following on her blog, but when asked for medical records, she refused to show them.
"I don't want forgiveness," Ms Gibson told Woman's Weekly, adding that she was speaking out because it was "the responsible thing to do".
"Above anything, I would like people to say, 'Okay, she's human.'"
Belle Gibson's recipe book was withdrawn by Penguin in March and her app was removed by Apple from its online store.
