  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

NASA Names Asteroid After Malala Yousafzai
NASA astronomer, Dr. Amy Mainzer, of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, USA, has named Asteroid 316201 after Malala. It was announced on Wednesday, by the Malala Fund blog.


Asteroids are defined as rocky or metallic objects mainly found orbiting the Sun in a region called the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

Dr. Mainzer discovered the asteroid, which gives her the right to name it, in the Main Belt between Mars and Jupiter. It orbits the Sun every 5.5 years. 
Malala Yousafzai is the global icon who started a campaign to bring education to girls in Pakistan as an 11-old girl, writing a blog about the conditions in Swat Valley in Northern Pakistan. She was shot in the head by Taliban gunmen in 2012, and survived the attack.
