  In this remarkable story, Adunni, the main character, depicts ambition fuelled with a burning desire to succeed despite all odds. Tales of this type still abound in Lagos, and they are portrayed in the media daily. Adunni is hailed as the poor girl with a rich mind, "Sherlock Holmes," who never stops asking intelligent questions, a child-bride, and a strong-willed girl who grew up fast due to the circumstance her parents put her through. However, she had the guts to pursue the life she wanted. - An education by any means necessary.  Adunni finally got her groove back after reading such an easy book, I could relate to the characters there. the harsh and despicable reality of Lagos till date. I would recommend this book to my friends and would love to see it turned into a film.

Pink Blasts Trolls Over Weight Issues

Musician Pink addresses the twitter trolls on her weight gain
How do you respond to twitter jibes over weight issues?, ask singer and three-time Grammy award winner, Pink. She is never one to back down from a right cause, this time the twitter trolls commented about her weight at a recent function she and her family attended,  a cancer fundraiser in Los Angeles. This was her response...
"I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight," she wrote in a lengthy Twitter post early this morning.
"You're referring to the pictures of me from last night's cancer benefit that I attended to support my dear friend Dr. Maggie DiNome. She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer.
"But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you. While I admit that that dress didn't photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty. In fact I felt beautiful. So, my good and concerned peoples, please don't worry about me. I'm not worried about me. And I'm not worried about you either:)...I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off.
"Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake."
Should this be the revolution of "Squishy" mums?, women all over Twitter have praised the singer for her response, sending her messages of support and pictures of their own squishy, happy tummies.
